tour-participant-3“Perfect day for couples who love food”

We are from NY and had little time to spend in Florida. We loved this tour! We love eating and are foodies at heart. We were on a cruise and had half day to spend, Margie kept the food coming! She was personable, friendly  and the best part? she lives a few blocks away from the starting point of the tour! She made every stop special and she had everything very well organized with each of the restaurants. I was surprised to see that all of the places we visited had everything ready when we arrived. I think we were about 10 people on the tour. My boyfriend doesn’t eat pork and she made sure to change the menu for him. Margie, as I mentioned at the tour, we will be back!

tour-participant“Amazing Food Tour!”

This food tour exceeded all of my expectations! Margie was an amazing guide, sharing facts of Fort Lauderdale’s history all along the tour. She was very knowledgeable and really made the tour enjoyable. The restaurants we visited were unique in their own way, and everything we tasted was fantastic! I would highly recommend this tour to not only the “Foodie-challenged”, but to any self-proclaimed food expert; there’s something for everybody. The tour was the perfect amount of time, we never felt rushed, and there was never a dull moment! This tour would be a perfect date and it would be great to do with a group of friends. Come hungry!

tour-participant-2“Wow! What a bargain”

We had the BEST time at the tour of Las Olas. You get wine, gourmet dishes at high end restaurants, a huge delicious panini (my favorite), desserts and a lot more! On top of all the amazing food, we had Margie, our guide, who introduced us to the area’s history. I live in the area and we would have not being able to dine the way we did for the ticket price and on top of that you get to go behind the scene at some of the stops, loved it!

We are locals & live in the neighborhood

food tour fort lauderdale

With us, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind experience at each location

Food Tours of Fort Lauderdale was started to share the culinary traditions of South Florida.  Local dishes reflect Latin American, Caribbean, European and Mediterranean culture.

Our goal is to provide insights into the culture of South Florida from the unique perspective while we discover and share incredible dining experiences – embracing the character of local ingredients, as their expression defines local culinary traditions.

Like many places, our tropical paradise has restaurants which run the gamut from small family run establishments to celebrity chef institutions. What is unique about Fort Lauderdale however, is that it is truly a unique dining destination. It is also a melting pot of many cultures, with roughly 30% from the Caribbean and Latin America, and another 30% from Europe and the Mediterranean. The result is a fascinating mixture of cultures and ingredients in a tropical climate, spawning our renowned gourmet Floribbean cuisine.

Come join us on the unique voyage, tasting your way through an incredible journey that is as delicious and informative as it is enjoyable!

Trata Greek Taverna

The lack of Southern European, and especially Greek , cuisine in South Florida comes as a surprise due to our massive diversity in cultural heritage; luckily, places like Trata Greek Taverna are beginning to offer authentic tastes of places that are otherwise underrepresented. Apparently, South Florida confuses Greek cuisine and pairs it side-by-side with belly […]
